Strà. Festival delle Arti di Strada

h+ curated Strà, the new Street Performing Arts Festival of the Municipality of Milan which showcased over 100 shows and events, for an audience of all ages. Acrobats, circus performers, musicians, street artists, mimes and many other filled the city for a weekend with excitement and emotions that were felt and shared, and in which art is diffused in unforeseen expressions.
Strà took place in the prestigious and historical Castello Sforzesco and the nearby Sempione Park. Furthermore, many of the performances took place but in various near by streets around the city centre and in the Darsena del Naviglio area. Strà encompasses a variety of disciplines and new forms of expressions, from traditional circus arts to shows that combine art, theatre, dance and music.
With the artistic direction of Giulia Staccioli (founder and artistic director of Kataklò Athletic Dance Theatre), amongst the myriadd artist that participated are: Les Farfadais, Vulcanica Percussionisti, Mutoid Waste Company, TTB - Teatro tascabile di Bergamo, and many others.
