Bookcity Milano 2015

Since 2012, h+ has been part of the organization of BookCity Milano, a festival diffused throughout the city of Milan and dedicated to literature and national publishing houses.  It is a cultural event with a wide range of programming, from conferences to literary sessions with authors, from public readings to engaging and interactive performances.

The fourth edition of the festival was attended by over 150,000 people. For four days, the entire city of Milan hosted over 850 events relating to literature of all genres and periods in order to underline the centrality of Milan as the capital of the publishing industry. The Castello Sforzesco was the heart of the festival, receiving over 35,000 visitors. This unique and stunning location hosted in its courtyards and rooms some of the most exciting events, including numerous lectures by internationally acclaimed authors. BASE Milano (Ex-Ansaldo complex), the new digitalpole of the 2015 edition, hosted the inauguration of Bookcity Milano 2015, during which Mayor Pisapia delivered the seal of the city of Milan to Isabel Allende.
Bookcity Milano is a project fomented by the Milan City Council and by the Organizing Committee constituted by Fondazione Rizzoli “Corriere della Sera”, Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, Fondazione Scuola per Librai Umberto e Elisabetta Mauri.
