This third edition of the festival confirms a significant public attractiveness and the enthusiasm of the milanese towards literature, with over 130.000 attendances to the record. From the 13th to the 16h of November, museums, libraries, archives, theatres but also libraries, associations, shops and even taxis hosted over 1.000 initiatives thanks to the efforts of the Bid Committee.

The Castello Sforzesco was once again heart of the festival and for this edition the now-famous “Book-Men” of BookCity Milano welcomed the public in an exciting collective experience, guiding the spectators inside the Dal Verme Theatre with musical accompaniment to an unique opening ceremony.

The Open Library of BookCity Milano was placed in the Cortile delle Armi of the Castello Sforzesco, the “Agorà” of Expo Milan 2015 - designed by world-famous architect Michele De Lucchi. Furthermore, in the Cortile della Rocchetta the public was entertained with new and enthralling activities on words and books, for all ages.

In collaboration with Gioco del Lotto, BookCity Milano hosted a number of special events called “A Drink with the Author”: four meetings with famous names of literature (Andrea De Carlo, Gianrico Carofiglio, Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Stefano Bartezzaghi, with Piero Colaprico as chair) along with a lovely glass of wine.
In collaboration with Fasweb, in many areas of the Castello and the whole city, the public could enjoy of the “RICARICATI” benches, special and comfortable spots where to take a break and read, relax and of course recharge phones, computers or tablets.
